A painted hardwood supporting frame holds two substantial prime ash boards, fixed and finished with a contrasting black walnut plug, and constructed with modern hidden mortice and tenon joinery techniques.
Cushions can be added to enhance the look and provide extra comfort , but even as they are you will find the boards very comfortable due to the angle at which the ash is supported on the frame.
Finished simply with three coats of natural oil and wax, they have a beautiful hardwearing sheen. The base is finished with two coats of matt black paint.
