New project – Dining table benches: phase 1 sketches & wood sourcing

Sourcing wood for dining table build

After an eventful weekend enjoying the sun and beautiful beaches on the north Cornish coast where we live, it’s back to work on Monday morning.

My mission this week is to make two benches for a 1.5-metre dining table, for my customer in Trebetherick, near Rock. The client’s brief is modern, simple, textured and painted in monochrome colours.

I’ve just completed a rough sketch which I have emailed across to the client.

Morning coffee – lovely. Checked my emails and have had a response back from my client about the benches. They wish to proceed with their order, so I am going to the wood store to select the timbers I need and will process them this morning and make a start.
